The Stony Corals of the Porto Rican Waters

Pp. 289-320; 38 full page black-and-white plates (photos and halftones of coral).  Later orange cloth, lettered in black on the front cover, sm 4to.  Extract from U.S. Fish Commission Bulletin for 1900, volume 2.  The corals in this well-illustrated work were collected around Porto Rico by the U. S. Fish Commission steamer “Fish Hawk” during an expedition there in 1898-1899.  No ownership marks and no signs of use.
