Originally published in Nhatrang, Annam by the Institut Océanographique de l'Indochine in 1941; this fine SSAR reprint faithfully reproduces the original edition. This is the first monograph on the turtles and tortoises of Southeast Asia. According to Adler (volume 1, pg. 107), the geographic coverage of this work extends “from Burma east through southern China, including Hainan island, and south to Singapore.” This new edition also contains a biography of René Bourret (1884-1957) and his efforts to publish ‘Les Tortues de l'Indochine’ by Indraneil Das. No ownership marks and signs of use.
