Publisher’s gray printed wrappers, lettered in black on cover and spine, lg 8vo.  This volume was originally published in Russian in 1949 as “Opredelitel’ presmykayushchikhsya i zemnovodnykh.”  This volume is from the research collection of herpetologist Lauren E. Brown with his name stamp on the inside of the front and rear wrappers, titlepage, page 86, and page edges.  Neat underlining on page 75.
