Pp. 2; 1 full page plate of Hemichirotes tridactylus (= Bipes tridactylus) that is hand-colored. Extract with no wrappers issued, lg 4to. From La Naturaleza, ser. 2, volume 2. Commonly known as the three-toed worm lizard, this species appears to be restricted to a small area close to the Rio Tecpan, in coastal Guerrero State, Mexico. It is a lowland species. Originally from the library of Karl P. Schmidt with his signature on the title page. Later from the library of George Sprague Myers with his circular name stamp and from Kraig Adler with his name stamp – all three ownership marks are on the title page. Rare work.
