Pp. 713-784; 3 finely engraved plates by C. Weitz.  Recent dark green cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine (original gray wrappers bound in place), 4to.  The front wrapper has an old paper label with the original signature of Gravenhorst.  According Vanzolini (1977: p. 56) in An annotated bibliography of the land and fresh-water reptiles of South America (1758-1975): this is "an extremely important paper for the herpetology of western South America." This work presents new and little-known species of South American lizards.  From the research library of herpetologist Kraig Adler with his small name stamp and printed name label on the title page.  No other ownership marks.
