This is volume XXI and XXII in ‘The Naturalist’s Library’ edited by William Jardine. This is the complete work on the ruminants of the world. The first edition of this set was called ‘The Natural History of Ruminating Animals, Part I and Part II.’ Volume XXI also presents a memoir of the life of comparative anatomist, Peter Camper, while volume XXII contains a memoir of the life of anatomist and surgeon John Hunter. This is second revised edition of both works. No ownership marks.
